The Teranex Mini 12G-SDI to HDMI Converter from Blackmagic Design offers production-grade conversion that’s great for turning consumer HDMI gear into professional monitoring equipment (and more!). The Teranex offers a selection of SDI connections including a 12G-SDI loop and HDMI output. The converter is lightweight and easy to transport with two power options: plug it into an outlet via AC or use 48V DC power over Ethernet. Sweetwater production pros also love the Terenex’s handy audio features. The box can de-embed audio and send it through dual XLR outputs in balanced analog, AES, or EBU formats. The right XLR channel even offers timecode support — a very useful feature for multi-cam productions. Finally, the Terenex is ready for Mac or PC operating systems, and software can be updated down the line via USB or Ethernet.
