Selectable Impedance Matching to Avoid Colouration<\/b><\/p>\n
The Banana DI features an input impedance selector switch to cater for most source signals. It offers the choice of Impedances of 1.6M\u03a9 or the 27k\u03a9 when in the -15dB setting. Choosing the 1.6M\u03a9 will provide the best results for general Hi-Z applications, though using either setting will not colour the signal and still provide all the natural tone of your instrument.<\/p>\n
Unique LCD Display\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Unlike traditional direct boxes, the Banana DI features an LC-Display screen that gives a visual indication of the input level into the DI. By having a visual marker via a graphic display, the player can judge whether the input signal is \u201ctoo hot\u201d and needs to be reduced, thus reducing any chance of signal peak and distortion. Using the Banana DI in this manner will ensure the tones are as clean as possible.<\/p>\n Transformerless Design<\/b><\/p>\n Some transformers can alter the sound of the input signal, either by colouring it or adding a slight amount of distortion through the transformer\u2019s circuitry. However, the Banana DI has a \u201cfloating\u201d design, which does not require the use of a transformer. This means the signal impulse is improved and distortion is minimised.
