The Shure TwinPlex™ TL48 is a professional subminiature lavalier microphone engineered specifically for film, television, theatre, and broadcast dialogue applications where speech clarity and discreet placement are critical.

Designed with input from leading audio professionals, the TL48 features a tailored frequency response with a mid-band boost (approximately +6 dB around 7 kHz), enhancing intelligibility and presence for spoken word while maintaining a natural tonal character.

Built around Shure’s patent-pending dual-diaphragm capsule, the TL48 provides improved off-axis consistency, ensuring accurate and stable audio capture even when talent moves their head or changes speaking position.

With best-in-class low self-noise and wide dynamic range, the TL48 delivers clean, professional-quality audio in demanding production environments.

The microphone uses a fixed frequency cap with an internal hydrophobic woven lining that resists sweat and moisture, making it reliable for both indoor and outdoor use—even under hot stage lights or in challenging weather conditions.

The ultra-durable 1.6 mm paintable cable is immune to memory effect and kinks, allowing for seamless concealment in costumes, wigs, or directly against the skin under wardrobe. A dual redundant ground in the cable provides additional shielding and long-term durability.
