The Cintel Scanner G3 HDR+ 8/16 is an advanced professional film scanner designed for high-quality digitization of 8mm and 16mm motion picture film. It combines precision optics, gentle capstan-based transport, and powerful HDR scanning to deliver superior image fidelity for archive, restoration, and post-production workflows.
Specifically engineered for smaller film formats, the scanner captures at a native resolution of 4096 x 3072, ensuring exceptional detail from Super 16, Standard 16, Super 8, and Standard 8 film stocks.
The new high-speed HDR light source enables real-time scanning with up to 3.5 additional stops of dynamic range, preserving highlight and shadow detail that would otherwise be lost in conventional scans.
Integrated film restoration tools in DaVinci Resolve—combined with diffuse lighting and cleaning rollers—help reduce dirt, scratches, and surface imperfections while maintaining the original character of the film.
Connectivity via Thunderbolt 3 allows high-bandwidth capture to Mac, Windows, and Linux systems, making the Cintel G3 HDR+ ideal for film archives, post houses, broadcasters, and boutique scanning studios.
