The Audio-Technica ATM230PK is a 3-pack of compact Artist Series dynamic instrument microphones, specially designed for close-miking drums and percussion. Built to perform in high SPL environments, each microphone delivers full, well-rounded sound with an exceptional low-end response, making it an excellent choice for toms, snare, and a wide range of percussion instruments.
Its proprietary capsule excels at capturing impact and detail at close range, producing a big, warm low-frequency response with excellent attack. The hypercardioid polar pattern keeps the focus on the sound source while reducing pickup from the sides and rear, improving isolation and helping control stage bleed.
