Description

Audio-Technica BP28 Shotgun Microphone is a professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for broadcast, film, television, outdoor recording, and theater applications. This highly directional shotgun microphone combines a large-diaphragm condenser element with an optimized acoustic design to deliver extremely tight pickup patterns for long-range sound capture.

With an overall length of approximately 35.5 cm, the BP28 provides focused audio pickup with excellent rejection of off-axis noise, making it ideal for filmmaking, location recording, and stage production. Its transformer-coupled output produces a smooth sonic character, while the large-diaphragm design offers very low self-noise, high sensitivity, and wide dynamic range.

The microphone features a patented acoustic port design that maintains consistent directionality across the entire frequency range for accurate sound reproduction. A switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter helps reduce unwanted low-frequency noise, and a 10 dB pad allows the microphone to handle louder sound sources.

Constructed from lightweight structural-grade aluminum alloy, the Audio-Technica BP28 is built for durability in demanding environments while remaining suitable for boom operation and on-location recording. Phantom-powered operation ensures compatibility with professional audio equipment.
