Audio-Technica BP28L Large-Diaphragm Shotgun Microphone is a professional condenser microphone designed for broadcast, film, television, outdoor recording, and theater sound reinforcement. This long shotgun microphone combines a large-diaphragm condenser element with a 28 mm diameter body to deliver exceptionally low-noise performance and highly focused long-distance pickup.

With an overall length of 22.4 inches, the BP28L provides an extremely tight, highly directional pickup pattern, making it ideal for capturing distant sound sources with excellent rejection of off-axis noise. Its patented acoustic port design maintains consistent directionality across the entire frequency range for accurate sound capture.

The microphone features transformer-coupled output for a smooth sonic character, along with extremely high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and high SPL handling capability. A switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter helps reduce unwanted low-frequency noise, while a 10 dB pad allows the microphone to handle louder sound sources.

Constructed from lightweight structural-grade aluminum alloy, the Audio-Technica BP28L is built for demanding production environments while remaining suitable for boom operation and location recording.
