Description

Audio-Technica U851RB Cardioid Boundary Microphone is a phantom-powered condenser boundary microphone designed for surface-mount applications such as high-quality sound reinforcement, professional recording, television, and conferencing. This cardioid boundary microphone is built for outstanding speech intelligibility and transparent sound quality in demanding sound pickup situations.

The U851RB conference boundary microphone is equipped with a PivotPoint® rotating output connector for flexible cable routing, a UniSteep® filter to help reduce low-frequency noise, and UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology to reduce radio frequency interference. It also accepts interchangeable condenser elements (sold separately), allowing different polar patterns to suit different room layouts and pickup needs.

Designed for reliable installation, the microphone features a heavy die-cast case and silicon foam bottom pads to minimize coupling of surface vibration. Its self-contained electronics eliminate the need for an external power module, and threaded inserts on the bottom allow secure screw mounting for increased security.
