Blackmagic Studio Converter

The Blackmagic Studio Converter enables a true SMPTE fibre–style workflow using cost-effective 10G Ethernet. When paired with Blackmagic Studio Cameras, a single Cat 6A cable carries camera feed, return program, timecode, reference, tally, talkback, and camera control — all over one IP link.

At the studio end, the converter cleanly breaks out all video, audio, and talkback connections to standard broadcast interfaces including multiple 12G-SDI inputs/outputs, analog audio, reference, and timecode. This makes it ideal for OB vans, broadcast studios, event production, and permanent installations.

The unit also features a high-capacity internal power system that supplies PoE power to the camera over 10G Ethernet, eliminating the need for local power at the camera position and simplifying cabling dramatically.
