Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter

The Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter enables remote camera operation up to 2 km from your studio or outside broadcast truck using standard SMPTE fiber. It converts SDI video, audio, and remote camera control into a single optical fiber link that connects to a Blackmagic Camera Fiber Converter at the camera end.

All video and data are transmitted using standard IP for extremely low-latency, broadcast-quality performance. The unit provides 12G-SDI for a primary HD or Ultra HD camera feed plus three independent HD return feeds, along with connections for camera control, PTZ, dual-channel talkback intercoms, tracker talkback, and tally.

A built-in 5-inch LCD screen allows you to monitor the camera feed and return signals directly from the rack. The converter also supplies power to remote cameras and accessories over fiber, simplifying cabling for professional live production, broadcast, and studio installations.
