The Genelec 4040A is the flagship model of the 4000 series, designed for larger fixed installations that require higher playback levels and deeper low-frequency performance. It delivers Genelec’s trademark clarity, precision, and reliability for demanding professional environments.
Built in a robust die-cast aluminium enclosure with a reflex port design, the 4040A minimizes unwanted reflections while extending bass performance. Rear-panel room response compensation switches allow the speaker to adapt accurately to challenging acoustic spaces, ensuring clean and intelligible sound at any volume.
As a fully active loudspeaker, the 4040A integrates Class AB amplifiers, active crossovers, and protection circuitry inside the cabinet — eliminating the need for external amplifiers while improving system efficiency, reliability, and installation simplicity.
